A gasketed plate heat exchanger (GPHE) holds a pack of heat-transfer plates in an openable frame. The plate material, seal compound, channel arrangement and connections must suit the two fluids and operating conditions. Choose a starting point by application, then confirm the duty with engineering.

What is a plate type heat exchanger?
It is an exchanger that transfers heat across plates separating the fluid passages. Gasketed construction uses removable seals; other plate constructions use different joining methods. Read the construction comparison.

Can you quote from connection size alone?
Connection size does not establish heat duty, pressure drop or material compatibility. Send available process information so the selection and quotation can be based on an agreed duty.
